"This, then is our desert:
to live facing despair,
but not to consent.
To trample it down under hope in the Cross.
To wage war against despair unceasingly.
That war is our wilderness.
If we wage it courageously,
we will find Christ at our side.
If we cannot face it,
we will never find him."

A Patre Unigenitus: Carl Rutti
Sung by the Choir of Gonville and Caius, Cambridge, directed by Geoffrey Webber
Belated Christmas greetings to all readers of the blog - although the Octave does have another four days to run!
I don't think I had ever consciously heard anything by Rütti until the choir sang his 'I wonder as I wander' on Wednesday evening. Yet another voyage of discovery. Have a richly blessed 2015!
