Lord,
protector and ruler of your Church,
fill your servants with a spirit of understanding, truth and peace.
Help them to strive with all their hearts to learn what is pleasing to you and to follow it with all their strength.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen
