Silence is not always golden...

We've heard from Catholic Bishops Egan [here] and Devine [here] on the Government's changed proposals to destroy the institution of marriage extend the right to 'marry' to same-sex couples.
We await with interest the comments of the Archbishop of Canterbury - both present and elect.
No doubt they are just waiting for the right time - or are they so traumatised by the reaction  of their political masters (sadly, but implicitly by their own admission) to the recent synodical debacle that they dare not 'step out of line?'

  1. Excellent point - the CofE as the Established Church is supposed to provide moral leadership to the nation (Christian moral leadership at that)... it can not remain silent on the major moral issues of the day ...
